Overview[ | ]
The bear is a dormant animal that will attack the player if they get too close or attack it, it will also attack other animals and zombies. Upon killing a Bear a player is able to skin the animal and retrieve Animal Hide, Animal Fat and Large Bones. If you use a Bone Shiv, Hunting Knife, or a machete you will get more from harvesting the animal than with any other tool.
Combat[ | ]
Like most enemies, it is most effective to aim at and strike/shoot the head of the Bear.
Bears are one of the most dangerous foes in 7 Days to Die. They have a very high damage output and can easily wipe out unsuspecting players who stray too far from the regular roads of Navezgane. Bears do weigh a lot more than other wildlife, and have been observed causing the floor to break in wooden houses, this gives players a chance to kill the animal from over the gap. [1]
Notes[ | ]
- Released in Alpha 12
- Bears will attack and kill any zombies in their path if aggravated. Bears will also occasionally chase zombies and deer, usually winning the fight.
