Bomb Shelters, also known as Bunkers are large underground structures usually disguised with a building. For example the medium Bomb Shelter has a small shack, where if you dig down into the metal floor in the shack, you will find stairs leading to the underground Bomb Shelter. Similarly with the large Bomb Shelter you can break the trapdoor and climb the ladder down the well to find a large complexion of rooms. They are great places to hide from Zombies, but be careful for traps.
The bad news is, you are quite unlikely to be able to access these bunkers in the early game, as they are sealed by a locked Vault Door, which take a LOT of effort and a good pickaxe to destroy, you are better off surviving and brushing up on your skills on the surface before you start setting up homes in Bunkers, once you are skilled enough, setting up safe houses in these places in Wastelands will protect you very well from the high amount of Zombies and Special Infected that dwell there.
There are two Bomb Shelters:
- A medium Bomb Shelter in the Burnt Forest at 99 S, 1171 W.
- A larger Bomb Shelter in the Burnt Forest at 505 S, 1359 W.
Locations in Random World Generation
Bomb Shelters only spawn in towns, rural areas and the wilderness.
There are 2 types of Bomb Shelters.
