Overview[ | ]
Cement is made by "burning" Stone, Gravel, Destroyed Stone, or two Small Stones in a Forge with Cement Mold inside. It is used to create Concrete Mix by combining it with Gravel. It is a relatively cheap and easy to produce resource, as all of the components used to make it are readily available in all parts of the map. It is a necessary resource in one of the two available ways to produce Reinforced Concrete, which is one of the most durable and structurally stable building blocks in the game.
Usage[ | ]
The sole usage of Cement in the current version of 7 Days to Die is to produce Concrete Mix, which is in turn used to create Reinforced Concrete. As such, the production of Cement is more than worthwhile, as long as the player has enough Iron Ingots or Short Iron Pipes to produce the necessary amount of Rebar to effectively utilize the Concrete Mix. Once the Rebar has been placed and the Concrete Mix is crafted, the Concrete Mix can be poured into a mold created from the Rebar, which will eventually dry into Reinforced Concrete.
Forging[ | ]
When producing Cement in a Forge, all available methods are relatively equal in their efficiency. However, it could be argued that using Gravel is counterproductive, as Gravel is the other component needed to craft Concrete Mix in addition to Cement, which is the primary use of Cement. Other than this, no single method is any "better" or "worse" than any of the others.
