A Chicken is one of several wild animals in 7 Days to Die. They were added in A13.
Once killed, a chicken may drop Raw Meat and Feathers. The chicken is a good way to enhance the skills in shooting any of the weapons, as their tiny hitbox and fast reflexes can throw you off. A good weapon choice would be a Pistol or Hunting Rifle.
On the other hand, since you're faster than they are and ammunition for ranged weapons is scarce, you may just want to use something like a Wooden Club instead so you can get a few dozen feathers without wasting anything but a half minute or so of your time. Make sure you gut them with the appropriate Harvesting tool, even if it's just a Bone Shiv.
Chickens can be incredibly annoying, as when you are chasing the chicken, it may stop to peck the ground so you run over it, then it takes off in the other direction. They can be so distracting that zombies might even attack you.

Chickens have been observed wandering around the Forest biomes and possibly more.They are also found in the Desert biome.
