Overview[ | ]

Destroyed Stone is a building material that covers the surface of the Wasteland Biome as well as occasionally dropping when breaking down pre-existing structures made of stone-like material. When you mine Destroyed Stone from the first few layers of the Wasteland, beware that any Destroyed Stone above it will cave-in.

Mining Destroyed Stone yields 4 Crushed Sand & 12 Small Stone. With at least 3 levels of theMother Lode perk this provides more resources than it costs to craft: 6 Crushed Sand and 19 Small Stone. While this creates an infinite source of Crushed Sand & Small Stone, with that level of Mother Lode it is easier to mine the resources from naturally occurring blocks.

Destroyed Stone can be repaired using up to 6 Cobblestone Rocks.

Melting a Destroyed Stone block in a Forge gives 90 stone equal to the value of 18 Small Stone, providing no loss from the crafting recipe. This practice is not recommended as the equivalent 18 Small Stone melts faster.
A Destroyed Stone block cannot be scrapped.

Uses[ | ]

Since Destroyed Stone can be crafted it can be used to cover holes quickly or for decorative purposes. In the Wasteland Biome you can also achieve the same result (visually) by using Top Soil Blocks which have the same build characteristics. These cost Clay Soil in stead of Small Stone, making it a decision of preference.
