The negative Drowning Status Effect appears when characters go under water for longer than they can hold their breath. The Drowning status will be preceded by the Cannot Breathe status.
As long as the debuff is active, the character will gradually lose Health, with the amount of suffocation damage escalating with time spent Drowning.
The debuff will end immediately after contact with air. All oxygen will be replenished instantly, so it is possible to go back under water without suffering from the Drowning debuff for another 60 seconds.
