Player created Farms[ | ]
It is entirely possible for the Player to create a farm for themselves. You will need Seeds, Gardening Hoe, a Bucket(optional) and a water source(optional).
Step 1. Choose a location. Currently everything only grows in Dirt. Keep in mind Zombies can trample your crops and ruin them.
Step 2. Clear the land of grass. Suggested methods are using your fist or a cheap Stone Axe as to keep the durability up on your valuable Tools
Step 3. Till the land using Gardening Hoe, if done correctly you will see the block change. This is tricky. If you walk or jump on tilled soil you will need to till it again.
Step 4. Plant Seeds. Target the center of the tilled block, and use the Seeds you prefer. Once planted you will see your crop in the block.
Step 5. Wait for your crop to grow. Don't forget to defend it.
This part is optional(recommended): if you till land around a water source, you will not have till it again when your crop is harvested.
- Note: To make a water source use a Bucket you can scoop up water and carry it where you need to make a water source. Simply dig a 1 block hole, use Bucket of Water targeting hole. Or simply farm next to a lake or stream.
