Overview

A Gas Can is a craftable item that can be found in various locations around the map in 7 Days to Die. They are often found within industrial areas and inside vehicles and can be looted from gas pumps at a Gas Station. The Gas Can is also the source of fuel needed for motorized tools.

History

• Alpha 6 They can uncommonly drop in quantities of 100 on car loot.
• Alpha 7.6 The Chemistry recipe for the Gas Can has been removed from the recipes.xml file, this means they can now only be crafted by using an Oil Barrel.
• Alpha 8 Gas Can recipe was reintroduced using Grain Alcohol. The new recipe is very time consuming (about 1 hour cooking time for the Grain Alcohol).
• Alpha 12 The player must now read the Gas Can Schematic to be able to craft Gas Can.

Notes

Gas Cans can be crafted into oil barrels allowing you carry the equivlent of Six Gas Cans per Oil Barrel. A full stack of oil barrels hold the equivalent of 384 Gas Cans compared to its own max stack of 100.
