Description[ | ]
The Generator Bank is a new block added in A16 as a part of the new Electricity game mechanics.
The Generator Bank allows you to power your electrical components. It requires at least one small engine, expandable up to six. The maximum energy output is determined by the number of small engines installed and their quality. The generator bank uses gas for fuel which can be found in loot and purchased at traders or crafted at chemical stations and campfires.
The menu of the generator bank indicates the maximum wattage output, current fuel status, and current wattage being drawn from the bank. Turning the generator on and off and refuelling it are also done from the menu.
As long as a generator you place down is within your land block claim area, you're able to pick it back up by holding the interaction button and pressing the "take" option.
Power Drain[ | ]
Note all time measurement upcoming are in real time (not in-game).
The fuel used every second is equal to the power usage divided by 2000 (fuel/second = drain/2000).
This means that 1000 fuel will last (555/drain) hours.
e.g If you want to ensure you defences will last over night (24) hours the maximum drain 1 generator could do for that long is 23 watts so if you defences require 157 watts you need (157/23 rounded up) 7 generators fully fueled to last that long.
One final important note is that these assume no lag, with lag these numbers change in your favour (that is fuel will last longer).
