Player Statistic Bars

Description[ | ]

Health is one of the four main player statistics. Represented by a red vertical bar that bears a small first aid cross at the bottom left of the player's screen. It can be replenished by eating certain Food items or by using Medical supplies such as Painkillers, it also regenerates over time if Fullness is over a 75%. Health can not go higher than the player's wellness. When the player is at zero Health they will not die outright, but will find themselves in a very vulnerable condition and receiving even the slightest amount of damage will result in death. Upon dying the player will re-spawn after five seconds and if the player has placed a Sleeping Bag they will be given the choice of spawning on their Sleeping Bag or somewhere near by. However, if they player has not done this they will spawn at a random location.

Health Depletion[ | ]

Health is depleted when the player receives damage for falls, splash damage from explosions, drowning, falling blocks and hits from Zombies or other players. The types of damaged received are as follows:

Zombie Damage[ | ]

This one is pretty obvious, but all the same the player will lose Health if hit by a Zombie. The level of damages depends on the type of Zombie, with the stronger zombies delivering more damage per hit. As of A13, damage dealt to the player is also affected by the level of the player, the amount of armor and what kind they are wearing, as well as what quality level the armor is. Furthermore, there is a small chance every time the player gets hit a de-buff could be acquired leaving the player with a negative status effect. These can can vary from being stunned, Bleeding slowly to death or Infection, with the latter two capable of killing a player.

Fall Damage[ | ]

Falling from height will deplete a player's Health with the amount lost proportionate to the height of the fall. Falling from a great height will result in a high loss of Health or even death. Coupled with the possibility of a leg injury incurred during the fall, this type of damage can leave a player in a very vulnerable position.

Note[ | ]

  • As of A13, you can put fall onto a Hay Bale from any height and not take any fall damage.

Weapon Damage[ | ]

All Weapons can inflict damage, with varying levels delivered depending upon the Weapon used, the quality of the weapon, and what kind of Ammo. Some Weapons are fairly weak and will take as small amount of Health per hit, others are powerful enough to kill a player with a single hit, especially firearms. The following weapons will kill upon a successful head shot:

It is important for the player to realize that other players are far more dangerous to their health than Zombies. In most situations it is the player that strikes first who survives, due to the ease of killing another player. This is only true in the PvP environments, for PvE environments the only worry of damage is from other zombies.

Splash Damage[ | ]

This is caused when a player is caught within the blast radius of an explosion. The severity of the damage received is reduced the further away the player is from the source of the explosion. These items are all capable of delivering varying levels of splash damage:

Drowning[ | ]

Drowning occurs when the player spends too much time underwater. At this point the player's character can no longer breathe and will start to suffocate, twenty seconds later they will start to drown. Drowning will quickly deplete the health bar and will ultimately kill the player if they do not resurface for air in time.

Negative Status Effects[ | ]

A player can also lose Health as the result of negative status effect caused by a de-buff. However, rather than taking a set value per hit a de-buff usually drains Health over a period of time. the following de-buffs will all have a negative effect on Health:

Health Restoration[ | ]

Health will slowly restores itself over time provided the player's fullness level is above the current level of their Health. However, a player's Health bar will never regenerate higher than their Fullness bar without the use of Medical supplies.

Food[ | ]

There are many items in the game that can be used to replenish the player's Health bar, the following items all have a positive effect on Health.

Medical supplies[ | ]

There are a few medical supplies the player can use to raise their Health. Although effectiveness varies for each item, each one will allow the player to raise their Health bar above the current level of their Fullness.

Positive Status Effects[ | ]

A player can also gain Health as the result of positive status effect caused by a buff. The effects of a buff usually increases Health over a period of time. the following buffs will all have a positive effect on Health:
