Inventory screen

In 7 Days to Die, the Inventory is divided into three sections:

• The first and upper section is switchable. There are currently (7.5) two tabs at the very top to switch this part of the screen between the Crafting tab and the Character tab;
• The Inventory Grid (middle section). This part is a 9x4 grid where the player can store and manage his items;
• The Toolbelt (or Hotbar, bottom section). This part is a 9x1 grid used to equip items for quick access; this bar of grid is also visible out of the Inventory page.

To access the inventory screen, just press I.

Notes

• You don't lose inventory items upon death, only those in your toolbelt. As of 7.1, this can now be changed in the options.
• To find the item-ID of an item: right click and hold down the right mouse button on that item.
