Inventory

The Inventory Screen, shown with the crafting tab selected.

Overview[ | ]

In 7 Days to Die the inventory screen is where you will find the control for many items relating to your character, items you are carrying, crafting items and manage friend requests during online multi player games. The Inventory page is activated using the I key, it is divided into the following five sections.

  • Inventory Grid
  • Mini Map
  • Tab Panel
  • Tab Selector
  • Toolbelt

Inventory Grid[ | ]

Located just above the Toolbelt, this is a 4x9 grid that offers 36 storage slots and serves as your main personal storage. It is also refered to as the Backpack. All items you pick up will be placed into the Inventory grid.

Mini Map[ | ]

Found in the bottom left of the screen it displays a map of the local vicinty in the center, a Compass around the maps outer rim as well as the players Fullness, Health, Hydration and Stamina bars.

Tab Panel[ | ]

Located above the Inventory Grid this will change depending on which tab you have selected.

Tab Selector[ | ]

There are currently three tabs at the very top of the screen these are the Crafting Tab, Character Tab and Friends Tab, clicking on one will change the Tab Panel to display the panel options relevant to the tab selected.

Toolbelt[ | ]

The Toolbelt can be found along the bottom of the screen. This is also refered to as the Hotbar and is where you place items that you wish to have on hand.

Notes[ | ]

  • You don't lose inventory items upon death, only those in your toolbelt. As of 7.1, this can now be changed in the options.
  • To find the item-ID of an item: right click and hold down the right mouse button on that item.
