Description[ | ]

An Iron Gardening Hoe (Iron Gardening Hoe in version 17+) is a Farming Tool that can be found throughout the world in 7 Days to Die. It can be crafted using Forged Iron and Wood.

Uses[ | ]

As a Tool[ | ]

To use as a tool, equip the Iron Gardening Hoe and right-click on the ground. When used as a tool, a Iron Gardening Hoe will till the land, allowing for Plant Seeds to be planted. Tilling the land will give the ground a slightly raised, brown appearance which is ready for planting.

The Iron Gardening Hoe can be used to harvest tall grass with a higher yield than that of any other tool. (10 Plant Fibers versus the normal 2.)

It is somewhat effective when used to destroy earth based blocks, though is not effective on earth-based blocks. A Iron Gardening Hoe is capable of destroying blocks up to four blocks away.

As a Weapon[ | ]

Though not made to be used as a weapon, it will do minor damage to zombies.

Crafting Recipe[ | ]

To craft a Gardening Hoe just click on the ingredients in your inventory and select recipes or search for it in your crafting window search bar.

Repair[ | ]

The Durability of an Iron Gardening Hoe deteriorates with each use until eventually reaching zero, at which point it will stop working. It can be repaired using Forged Iron, which restores the Durability back to Max Durability.

Scrapping[ | ]

An Iron Gardening Hoe can be scrapped by clicking on the tool and selecting "scrap" which will yield Iron.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Iron Gardening Hoe can still be found in the items.xml folder, similar to the also-removed Pig, but unlike the Pig, it is not commented out in the file, only the section that describes what it does.
