The Lead Fishing Weight is an item that can no longer be found via Looting or Harvesting, but is still available from the Creative Menu when playing in Creative mode.
While the Lead Fishing Weight can be directly scrapped into Scrap Lead, you may also smelt it directly into Lead (Forge) in the Forge. Smelting Lead Fishing Weight directly instead of scrapping it will yield more Lead (Forge).

To save space on inventory slots while looting, a player might want to scrap Lead Fishing Weight into Scrap Lead. This collates it into one big pile of Scrap Lead saving inventory space.
