Description[ | ]
Metal Strips are repair materials that can be used to repair various weapons and tools. The player can craft Metal Strips in addition to acquiring them from various random locations all over Navezgane. Offering a repair value of 10 means it will raise a tool or weapon's Durability by 10 points each time one is used for repairs.
Repair Efficiency[ | ]
It is almost always more cost efficient (with the exception being the Wrench) to repair a tool rather than crafting a new tool as a single Iron Ingot can produce 60 Metal Strips for a total of 600 durability repair.
- A single Iron Ingot can produce four Forged Iron
- These in turn can be crafted into 12 Short Iron Pipes.
- Finally the 12 Short Iron Pipes can be crafted into 60 Metal Strips giving a total of 600 points worth of durability repairs.
- As an example a Shovel requires four Iron Ingots in its recipe, with a durability of 500 the player would need 50 Metal Strips to fully restore a Shovel from the lowest point of durability before it is destroyed (One point of durability remaining). Using the above process would leave the player 10 Metal Strips from the one Iron Ingot as opposed to just using up four Iron Ingots to craft a new Shovel.

Usage[ | ]
The process by which items are repaired is very simple. Firstly, Metal Strips are placed into the crafting grid along with a suitable, damaged weapon. Placement of the items are of no importance and will work with the items in any position. The player can then click the craft button to start the process. Once the repairs are complete the improved tool or weapon can be removed from the output slot an placed back on to the player's Toolbelt or into their back pack.

Crafting Metal Strips simply requires the player to place a single Short Iron Pipe into the center of the crafting grid, this will produce five Metal Strips.
