Description[ | ]
The Nailgun is a short-range semi automatic sidearm in 7 Days to Die. It is currently possible to craft as of A15. This weapon requires Nails and will hold 15 projectiles; its durability will last for 500 shots. It will reload automatically if the player is carrying the correct Ammunition or it can be done manually at any time using the reload key (default key R). Nails can be found or can be produced in a Forge.
Uses[ | ]
The Nailgun can be a tool or a weapon. Its main function is to upgrade buildings very quickly, which in turn makes the Nailgun the fastest item to level up construction tools within A16. When used as a tool to upgrade buildings, the Nailgun does not consume Nails nor deplete its durability. However, Nails are required to use it as a weapon, and firing it will deplete its durability. Despite being usable against entities, its low entity damage means it should only be used as a last resort or for challenges, since its damage is far weaker than many ranged weapons.

Repair[ | ]
The condition of a Nailgun deteriorates with each use of the primary action (attack) until eventually it will stop working and will need to be repaired. This can be done using a Repair Kit.
Notes[ | ]
- This weapon/tool initially had no reload animation.
- You can't use the secondary action (default: right-click) to aim with the Nailgun like with any other ranged weapon, since this button is used for the upgrade function.
