Quests are missions given to the player, either automatically, as in the case of White River Citizen and the Tutorial Quests, or by looting a note or map. In the latter case, once looted, the note can be read to grant the quest. Alternatively it can be kept in the player's inventory or storage until the player is ready to accept it.

Types of Quest[ | ]

There 4 types of Quest:

  • Tutorial Quests - Given to the player upon first spawning into a world, these quests are meant to teach the player the basics of the game. They are granted every time the player spawns the first time into a world. These quests includes the Basic Survival and White River Citizen quests.
  • Treasure Quest gives they player a waypoint to a randomly chosen location. Once there, the player must find the treasure, usually by digging downwards, to complete the quest. The reward is the treasure itself. The treasure chest is locked, so appropriate preparations should be taken.
  • Challenge Quests - Initiated by notes found in containers, this quest gives the player a task to complete, usually killing certain entities, sometimes under certain conditions. When the quest involves killing zombies, it happens in a certain place marked in the player's map. After activating the quest, these zombies spawn around the player trying to chase them. After successfully killing enough of them, the player can get their reward from any trader.
  • Trader Quest - Randomly generated quest given by various traders with various rewards. Doing enough of these quests gives access to higher tier quests with even better rewards.

Task: Kill 3 Plagued Nurses.
Reward: 350 Dukes, 500 experience

Starving Tourists[ | ]

Task: Kill 3 Fat Hawaiians.
Reward: 350 Dukes, 500 experience

Dog Days are Over[ | ]

Task: Kill 3 Zombie Dogs.
Reward: 350 Dukes, 500 experience

Itsy Bitsy Spider[ | ]

Task: Kill 3 Spider Zombies.
Reward: 350 Dukes, 500 experience

Ladykiller[ | ]

Task: Kill 1 Plagued Nurse, 1 Putrid Girl, 1 Departed Woman and 1 Infected Mother.

Task: Kill 1 Reanimated Corpse, 1 Bloated Walker, 1 Festering Corpse, 1 Rotting Carcass and 1 Infected Survivor.

Task: Kill 1 Spider Zombie, 1 Infected Police Officer, 1 Feral Wight, 1 Screamer and 1 Burn Victim.

Task: Kill 3 Frozen Lumberjacks with a Stone Axe, Iron Fireaxe or Steel Fireaxe.
