Overview

A Scrap Iron Spike is the upgraded version of a ReinforcedMetalTrunkPineTip and can also be upgraded further into a ReinforcedScrapIronSpike. It can not be crafted using other materials, the only ways to obtain a Scrap Iron Spike are through upgrading a ReinforcedMetalTrunkPineTip. It cannot be placed using the Creative Menu. It is also not possible to dismantle, melt, scrap or use a Scrap Iron Spike as a source of Combustible fuel.

Upgrading

Required Items

It is possible to upgrade a Scrap Iron Spike into a ReinforcedScrapIronSpike and the following items are required to do so.

Upgrade tool

These are the tools capable of performing the upgrade, the Nailgun is the most efficient.

This is the material used during the upgrade process.

Upgrade Process

Once the player has one of the required tools and upgrade materials they can begin the upgrade process. The chosen tool is equipped and the materials are left in the bag or on the tool belt. Approaching the Scrap Iron Spike and right clicking on it with the chosen tool will make an icon appear showing the current upgrade status.

• The Nailgun will perform an instant upgrade, with no increasing intervals.
• The Claw Hammer will perform an instant upgrade, with no increasing intervals.
• The percentage shown will increase 50% each time the Repair Tool is used. The player will need to use it two times on a Scrap Iron Spike to complete the upgrade.
• The percentage shown will increase 25% each time the Stone Axe is used. The player will need to use it four times on a Scrap Iron Spike to complete the upgrade.
• The upgrade materials used will not be taken from the inventory until the upgrade is complete.
