Chest options / locking[ | ]
When holding down the use button (default key is E) on a Secure Storage Chest, you will get 3 options:
- Change password: Allowing you to change the number combination of that Secure Storage Chest so only people who know the code can access it.
- Look into chest: opening the Secure Storage Chest and being able to access its content.
- Lock/unlock chest: a locked Secure Storage Chest can only be opened by people that know the combination and have entered it previously.

Bugs[ | ]
- Warning: If you try to destroy an adjacent block to an Secure Storage Chest, you destroy the Secure Storage Chest instead!.
- There's a bug in 7.9 patch that every time you craft a Secure Storage Chest, you get a Cob Web. [Seems to be solved in A7.10]
- If you shift click an object in your inventory (attempting to auto move it to the chest) the objects you shift click will be deleted instead
- A Zombie currently does not register that there is a Secure Storage Chest in front of them. Making the Secure Storage Chest, when used as a wall, a completely zombie proof way to defend yourself. This can be considered abusing the Game mechanics though, if it was not intended to be a bug.
