Small Stone can be picked up from the ground in many biomes, can be crafted from stone or looted after breaking a large rock.
It can be used for crafting Campfires or Sharp Stones for tools and weapons. Left clicking will throw it, making it also a ranged weapon.

- Throwing the Small Stones appear to do no damage to zombies and simply bounces away from them, not even incurring a damage animation, presumably they are meant as a means of distracting the zombies, likely to be a function implemented in the next major update with the stealth mechanics.
- Like the Pipe Bomb the Small Stones can be charged by holding the left mouse button.
- Before update 7.10 it was possible to craft Small Stones (previously named Small Rock) into Stone.
