Snow is a basic block found only in the Snowy Forestbiome. It is the top-most block of the ground in the area and is only found on the top layer. The appropriate tool for unearthing Snow is a Shovel but in any case yields 11 Snowballs which can be increased by investing in the Mother Lode perk.
The Snow block can be repaired using up to 9 Snowballs with any repair tool but not crafted. A full HP block would require 10 but the minimum block HP is 1 before being destroyed.

Snow is the primary source of Snowballs which are required to make Yucca Juice Smoothie. They can also be retrieved from ice machines in towns by breaking them. This Beverage is highly valuable as it does not require Water to make and only a single Snowball required makes it so that a single trip into the Snowy Forest will provide most survivors with enough to last them the rest of the game.
The Snow block cannot be crafted, but it can be replaced using a Top Soil block which will take the colour of Snow but will yield only Clay Soil when dug up.
