Command Console Discussion Page[]

Editing This Page, PLEASE READ[]

Since I am the first to post on this page, I am including this quick reference for editing this page, that we can all follow the Wiki guidelines for editing. Please use the proper etiquette found here while utilizing the editing syntax list found here. Drumaboy590 (talk) 00:42, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

Discussion Topics[]

1. Accuracy of Multiplayer Commands[]

  • I have found that several of the console commands do not work properly in multiplayer
  • I have used every method I can find to get them to work, triple triple checking syntax, contacting support from my host, editing every game configuration line multiple times, starting over and over and over
  • In particular, I am interested in "spawnsupplycrate". Spawn air drop works for me, spawn supply crate does not. This is a server thing, because when I use the command, the console responds "executing remote command" as it does for any other command that is typed properly and that I have permission to use
  • I would like some clarity on which commands work in multiplayer, or any suggestions for resolving this. I can't assume that I'm the only one having this problem until somebody else tells me that theirs is working fine
  • Thoughts? Thanks

just trying to get some answers[]

what is a CTD?

"Command "settime" is prone to CTD during gameplay if value entered is 0." for the future of new players clarification should be added

I'm not sure what it is. The only thing I found via Google was the following page. I'm not sure which page had the statement first, but one of them likely is a cut/paste of the other.

Crash To Desktop. Not sure why that should be as long as the value is legit (i.e. >= 0). --Alloc - Christian (talk) 21:06, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Remove command list[]

Wonder if it wouldn't be better to remove the whole list and only describe the console itself as well as some basics (like using "help" for a list of supported commands, "help <command>" for further info and maybe a bit about permissions). Having a list will always be outdated and also not including any mods. Also the list is basically nothing more than "help" + "help <command>" anyway. Any ideas? --Alloc - Christian (talk) 21:08, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Another alternative would be to strip the commands from this page, like you suggest—making this page a summary overview—and then link to individual pages like "A13 Commands" then later "A14 Commands" so that we have both sets of information and those who want to see the commands per-version can.
