ForestTrees

A selection of Birch and Maple trees as seen in the Forest biome

Description[ | ]

A Tree is a generated object found in the environment that drops Wood whilst being cut and toppled.

Harvesting Trees[ | ]

Harvesting a tree with an Appropriate Tool such as an Iron Fireaxe or a Steel Fireaxe will decrease the time it takes to chop down a tree and will also maximize the amount of Wood obtained in the process. The amount of Wood and Seeds yielded depends on the maturity stage of the tree. Newly-planted trees, or saplings, do not provide any resources.

Tree Growth Stage Hit Points Wood Harvested Seeds Harvested
Sapling n/a 0 0
Stage 1 300 30 1
Stage 2 600 70 2
Stage 3 900 110 2
Stage 4 1200 150 2

Notes[ | ]

  • Trees that are damaged do not regenerate their Hit Points. If they grow to a new growth stage, they carry their damage forward.
  • Only trees planted by the player will grow. Trees generated on map creation will not grow.

Types[ | ]

There are a number of different types of trees, but only 3 of them yield seeds when chopped down and thus are able to be replanted:
