Unlike regular recipes, Wildcard Recipes are always available to the player, even from the start of the game. They serve as a means to help guide new players on how to approach advanced crafting such as breaking down weapons or repairing tools.

Wildcard Recipes are broken into the following categories:
- Breakdown Weapon
- Repair Weapon
- Scrap Lead
- Scrap Iron
- Scrap Brass

As an example of breaking down a weapon, the following grid produce occurs when placing a Sniper Rifle in the output slot of the crafting grid.

You can then choose a single part of the sniper rifle to take and the entire gun will be destroyed. This means that to make all the molds needed for a sniper rifle, you will need to first find, 5 sniper rifles. The durability in no way affects the broken down part. These parts can then be made into molds which can then be used in the Forge to create an infinite (as long as you have the necessary materials) number of weapons/bullets.

Breakdown Weapon[ | ]
To use the breakdown weapon wildcard recipe, place any of the following items into the output slot of the crafting grid:
Repair Weapon[ | ]
The repair weapon wildcard recipe is a newly added way to help show players in-game how to repair their weapons and tools. By placing two of the same weapon/tool into the grid in any of the slots the durability of both is combined to create a new tool.
Scrap[ | ]
These wildcard recipes gives way to let any item that can be made into scrap, be made into scrap. These are the items that have scrap values.
Please note this list is not exhaustive, there are many items that can be made into Scrap Iron, listing all of them would take a long time and most of them only produce small amounts, likewise many of them you will find in your travels across Navezgane anyway. This list details the main ones to take note of.
