Wolves are wild animals commonly found in the Forest, Plains and Snowy Forest biomes. Wolves are hostile and will try to chase and attack the player if provoked or spots the player. Wolves are much faster than players and will easily outrun a player and catch them, so it is advised to take them down as fast as you can before they can reach you, or get to high ground like a car as they cannot climb it. Wolves can be spotted moving around in a small pack, this horde is not the same as other hordes as they will not go searching for the player and will wander aimlessly like a normal animal on its own. It isn't advised to take these packs of wolves on as they will quickly kill the player unless they are equipped with strong armor and weapons. They can also contain a Dire Wolf.

Wolves will not drop any loot upon being killed but can be harvested for Raw MeatAnimal HideAnimal Fat and Large Bones.

It is recommended to use a Bone ShivHunting Knife, or Machete when harvesting because it will provide the player with more resources than any other tool or weapon

A Wolf's attack can also cause bleeding.
