Description

The Wooden Bow is the second craftable bow in 7 Days to Die. It is a medium-range weapon that fires arrows as ammunition. Wooden Bow can be used with five different types of arrows: Stone Arrow, Iron Arrow, Steel Arrow, Flaming Arrow, and Exploding Arrow. To equip a different type of ammo than the default stone arrows, press and hold R, then select the ammo type you want. The damages given are based on values of the different types of arrows that the bow can use. The bow itself (without arrows) can not cause any damage.

Combat

During combat, a Wooden Bow is a powerful medium to long range weapon. At short range, however, the player may have trouble because it requires reloading for each shot. Due to its slow firing rate, a bow should be used with care at short range against more than one enemy or wild animal. Bows are great for stealth attacks, as firing an arrow doesn't make a sound and won't alert nearby zombies. Hitting a zombie, without killing him, does alert the zombie. Aiming slightly above the head usually guarantees a headshot, this depends on how far away you are from the target. Arrows (like bolts) have a chance to apply a Arrow Critical Bleedout debuff, which drains 1 health per second for 50s.
