Description[ | ]
A Wrench is a multi-purpose construction tool that can be used to repair and upgrade blocks. It is particularly excellent at harvesting from electrical or mechanical objects, which will result in additional resources compared to using other harvesting methods. It can also serve as a melee Weapon.
Uses[ | ]
As a Tool[ | ]
When using a Wrench as a tool, the following actions are performed:
- Harvesting. Clicking the left mouse button will use the Wrench, hitting any item or block that is targeted by the crosshairs and within range. The Wrench is particularly efficient at Salvaging mechanical and electrical objects and will yield the most resources compared to other harvesting methods on these items. The Wrench being used on these types of items will provide a wrenching animation instead of the usual striking animation.
- Repairing. Clicking the right mouse button while targeting the crosshairs on almost any damaged item or block within range will use the Wrench to repair that item or block, provided that you have the appropriate repair material needed in your inventory.
- Upgrading. You can also use a Wrench as an upgrade tool by clicking the right mouse button while targeting a block that is upgradeable. You must have the appropriate upgrade material in your inventory.
As a Weapon[ | ]
- When used in combat, a Wrench is a functional, if not very effective, short range Melee weapon.

The recipe above contains the Resources needed to craft the Wrench for each level of the Hammer and Forge (Perk) Perk.
A higher level in the associated perk will decrease the crafting cost, saving resources.
Repair[ | ]
The Durability of a Wrench deteriorates with each use. When its Durability reaches zero, it becomes unusable until repaired. Repairing a Wrench requires 1 Forged Steel. Repairing restores its Durability back to Max Durability.
Scrapping[ | ]
A Wrench can be scrapped, yielding Scrap Iron.
